Evelyn Kahn - Improbable

Photographer Evelyn Kahn will open a solo exhibition at the Medeiros e Almeida Museum, in Lisbon | 10 October > 9 November'24

Her new exhibition, entitled ‘IMPROBABLE’, is curated by Rita Lougares and consists of 41 photographs that have never been exhibited before. The show is based on a dialogue between images taken in different times and places which, in an unexpected way, harmonise and complement each other. Details, textures, shapes, reflections and colours intertwine, establishing unlikely links between different worlds, creating a visual tapestry that is both magical and powerful.

The exhibition will also be an opportunity to delve deeper into the theme of improbability, challenging our own reflection on the improbable, through the written contributions of personalities from the most diverse fields, such as architecture, science or culture.

Evelyn Kahn's photography is an invitation to see the world, both in the essence of what is visible in it and in what is hidden. Her work challenges us to slow down and realise the beauty in the details that often go unnoticed in everyday life. His ability to eternalise moments gives his work a universal appeal, attracting a diverse audience.
