Details

O Fabuloso Destino de Amália is a radio soup opera concert written by journalist and music critic António Pires.

The action takes place on the day of Amália Rodrigues' 13th birthday, where her friends gather to celebrate.

This setting serves as a starting point for exploring Amália Rodrigues' artistic career. On stage, three interconnected narratives come to life: the history of Fado and its protagonists, narrated by a radio announcer; Amália's life, presented by: Adelmo, Carla Pires, Luanda Cozetti, Luís Pucarinho and Carla Pontes and narrated by Raquel Bulha.

There are also eleven live musical moments, including Amália's greatest hits and other musical genres represented by each character.

O Fabuloso Destino de Amália, a community project from Paço do Lumiar that celebrates multiculturalism in the voice of Amália, will be presented at the Orlando Ribeiro Library Auditorium on September 26 and 27 at 21h00.

Admission is free upon reservation
