Participating in the Freedom Race is one of the ways to celebrate April and the Carnation Revolution. So, let's make this race a great popular celebration.

On April 25th, the ‘Freedom Run’ and its symbolism will take to the streets.
Three routes are available: one 11 kilometres, another 5 kilometres and one 1,000 metres long to cover in the shortest time possible.
Participants start from and run through different parts of the city, ending in Praça dos Restauradores.
Besides the running routes, there will also be a 3 kilometre long ‘Caminhada da Liberdade’.
This sport event also aims to be a popular festival that evokes ‘the ideals of April’.
