Located in Largo da Graça, Igreja da Graça is currently considered one of the most beautiful churches in the Portuguese capital.
Founded in the 13th century, in 1291, Igreja da Graça underwent numerous changes throughout the time.
Namely after the 1755 earthquake, where several styles from different eras are still present today, such as Baroque and Manueline.
Inside Igreja da Graça, the tiles from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries stand out, as well as the carvings on the Rococo style altars and the 18th century sculptures in the intermediate chapels.
The baroque decoration of the sacristy, with the allegorical ceiling, the large panel of the Relics and the tomb of D. Mendo de Fóios Pereira are other points of interest in this place.
Since 1910, the Igreja da Graça is classified as a National Monument.
