Discover Lisbon on two wheels, exploring another way of seeing the city. The cycle paths are not inter-connected, but they are a great way to explore certain parts of the capital.
Lisbon’s cycle paths are one of the best ways to see the city. The star is the riverside route which accompanies the Tagus for more than 20 km between the port, the various docks and the city’s most important historic zones. You just need to watch out for tourists and joggers using the path as a panoramic pavement. But there are many other cycle paths to discover Lisbon: the urban and elegant Avenida Duque d’Ávila, the route through the gardens of Campo Grande towards the Quinta das Conchas, and the one through Jardim Amália Rodrigues to Parque Eduardo VII. They are calm and safe and make pedalling a pleasure. In Parque das Nações, you’ll also find silent and calm routes. In general, drivers respect cyclists where they have to cross the road since the cycle paths are not all interlinked.
