New Year in Lisboa'19/20

Lisboa will welcome 2020 with music, entertainment and a big party. The city will celebrate another New Year in the open air in one of the city’s most iconic squares beside the river Tejo, in what promises to be an unforgettable night. In addition to the concerts and the party atmosphere that will invade the Terreiro do Paço, the night will be memorable for the spectacular fireworks display that follows the countdown to midnight. 31st December, Terreiro do Paço (metro: Terreiro do Paço). As is usual – but always surprising in terms of its programme – the Praça do Comércio will host a stage on which various artists will perform and provide the rhythm for the last nights of the year 2019.

On the 29th, the show begins at 18pm, and will be dedicated to classical music, with a specially designed orchestra and repertoire for this date.

Over the next two days, starting at 9:30 pm, some of the biggest names in the Portuguese music scene will take the stage, with musicians and sound bands from the pop rock scene. 

On the 31st, This special location with the river Tejo as its backdrop, will be transformed into a fantastic scene when the 12th bell tolls and the sky fills with fireworks.
