The INATEL Foundation for its history and institutional nature, is a unique organization in Portuguese society that declares a distinct mission, vision and values, which aim to contribute to the integral well-being and personal development of each one, as well as for social inclusion of all citizens.
Created in 1935 as the Fundação Nacional para Alegria no Trabalho (FNAT), the INATEL Foundation, is currently under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, developing activities to enhance leisure time in the areas of social tourism, popular culture and amateur sport, with deep humanism concerns and high quality standards.
It is present throughout the country with a network of hotel units, the INATEL game park, several sports pavilions and the INATEL Teatro da Trindade, in Lisbon.
The INATEL Foundation's action involves an associative mass of around 250 thousand individual members and 3500 collective members (Culture and Sport Centers).
The INATEL Foundation is a reference organizer, throughout the national territory, in the activities of leisure and leisure activities for young people, workers, seniors, families and active support communities in all areas of its intervention.
