In this museum of the whole sea, the various themed displays cover everything from marine biodiversity through to traditional fishing.

The Sporting Museum seeks to give expression to the broad, multiple and global human building that is “Sportinguismo” in the World, with its intangible heritage, memory and Future.

It houses the most relevant public collection, from the 12th to the 19th century. Painting, sculpture, silver, gold and jewellery, decorative arts – Portuguese, European, African and Oriental.

The museum houses an unique collection in the world consisting of vehicles from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries including coaches, berlins, sedan chairs and carriages.

The Vasco da Gama Aquarium, located at the gates of Lisbon, is not only an Aquarium, it is also a Museum. A Museum born of a prince's dream and his ambition to know the depths of the ocean.
