Rotas do Sal

Dolphin watching in the Setúbal bay, one of the most beautiful bay in the World. The Tróia peninsula, the coast of Arrábida and its beaches, the Fortress of Outão and the Palace of Commenda, are some of the most common passing places.

In the Sado estuary, there is a community of approximately 30 dolphins, who live here all the year long, and are a major attraction for the local population and also the tourists.

Join us to look for them in their natural habitat, in the fullness of all their freedom, and feel, quite closely, the magic of their presence and the joy of their games and performances of aquatic choreography.

All existing bottle-nose dolphins in the Sado are identified by their name, thanks to the individual knowledge of the shapes and dimensions of their dorsal fins. Dolphins, like we humans, have their moods and can be very playful and even interactive with people who observe them.

It is very high (98,6% in 2017) the probability of finding our community of dolphins of Sado, swimming, jumping and doing all sorts of games with each other.
