100 Years of Teatro Tivoli Gulbenkian Orchestra

The Teatro Tivoli celebrates its centenary with a concert by the Gulbenkian Orchestra presenting the beauty and elegance of music for strings.

Edvard Grieg’s Holberg Suite will open the performance.

The Norwegian composer’s romantic sensibility will be followed by J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins.

Then, to round the evening off with a dance-like rhythm, the audience will be treated to Czech composer Antonín Dvorák’s Serenade for Strings.
