And after FORMA - 2nd session

On 11 July at 6.30 p.m. Roca Lisboa Gallery will be hosting the second session of the "And after FORMA" series of talks, where the authors will be presenting their award-winning projects in the FORMA National Architecture Awards in the "Collective Housing" category, with "Residential home for elderly people", and the "Young Architects" category, with "Casa em Ancede". 

These sessions are an opportunity to hear from the architects themselves about the route they took until achieving this distinction. To understand the difficulties, the inspiration that drove each project and the challenges that were overcome along the way. 

The winners in these categories are: 

Nuno Valentim, lecturer at FAUP (Porto University School of Architecture), is a reference in urban rehabilitation in Portugal. His rehabilitation of Porto's Bolhão Market gave it a similar feel to several other spaces recently recovered in the city. He and Frederico Eça won the 2nd "Palmarés Architecture Aluminum Technal" Iberian Architecture Award in the "Rehabilitation" category with their project for the Centro Dehoniano on Porto's Avenida da Boavista. Winners of the Collective Housing category of the FORMA Awards.

Atelier Local, by João Paupério and Maria Rebelo, both graduates of FAUP (Porto University's School of Architecture) and cofounders of the practice. In April 2023, the first work by Atelier Local, "Studio House", received an Honourable Mention in the Portuguese Architects Association's MGD Award. Winners of the "Young Architects" category of the FORMA Awards.
