Once upon a time in the Marquês Gardens - Christmas’24

The most beautiful time of the year is upon us and with it the great event ‘Once upon a time in the Marquês Gardens - Christmas’ which, from 7 to 22 December, brings the festivities to the Marquês de Pombal Palace Gardens, with a varied programme dedicated to all families. 

This year, the Christmas festival in Oeiras will have the partnership of Rádio Comercial, which will bring its choir to perform for three nights, with special guests: Carolina Deslandes, Marisa Liz and Nuno Markl.

A 20-strong choir, accompanied by a band, will perform iconic Christmas songs on the evenings of 7, 14 and 21 December, in free concerts starting at 9pm.

The concerts will feature special guests, with some well-known songs being performed by Carolina Deslandes on 7 December, Mariza Liz on 14 December and on 21 December, comedian and member of Comercial's morning team, Nuno Markl, will give voice to an original Christmas tale.

With lighting and entertainment, the gardens of the Palácio do Marquês will be transformed into a world of wonder and enchantment, inviting families and visitors to immerse themselves in a magical experience with daily illusionist shows, performances by jugglers, fire-breathers, characters on stilts, soap bubbles, puppet theatres and marionettes, in a way of reliving the festivities of the 18th century. 

The weekends, with extended opening hours between 10am and 10pm, will be especially lively with parades involving all the artists and characters, as well as workshops for families. 

During the week, with shorter opening hours, between 10am and 7pm, the focus will be on schools and organisations.
