Round Table - The new challenges of the Portuguese Filigrana
How has the promotion of the valorization of this art been carried out both nationally and internationally?
The Roca Lisboa Gallery will host the Round Table - The new challenges of the Portuguese Filigrana event, on November 21 at 6pm.
At this event, which is part of our exhibition showcasing some of the most iconic filigree pieces, the speakers will discuss how municipalities have promoted the appreciation of this art both nationally and internationally.
The moderator will be Teresa Costa, representative of ACERTIFICA, the only accredited certification body in Portugal for the validation of traditional handicraft productions, including Filigree from Portugal.
On the panel of speakers:
Sandra Almeida - Councillor for the Municipality of Gondomar
Ricardo Alves - Póvoa de Lanhoso City Councillor
Graça Ramos - President of Portugal à Mão, who will present a study on traditional craft production and the importance of preserving it for the future of art and artisans.
Eunice Neves - Director of CINDOR, who will share her vast experience with the new generations, training and the future of the goldsmithing professions, with special emphasis on Filigree.
This is a free in-person event, but registration is required as places are limited.
