Visitors are free to explore its interiors, which used to house the museum's collection, to admire the construction systems and panelling, as well as the exhibition spaces, the library, the works of art decorating the walls and some period furniture. To aid understanding, there are documentary centres.

A highlight is the vault room, which houses a treasure discovered in 1998 during excavations in the block.

It is essential to go up to the terrace to enjoy a 360º view of Lisbon, punctuated by rooftops, monuments and the river Tagus.

These 6,000 square metre exhibition shows the authenticity and uniqueness of MUDE's museum and architecture and demonstrates how the preservation of heritage consolidates and projects the cultural durability of the site's architecture.
