The Nutcracker | Tivoli BBVA

The Kiev Ballet bring to life the story of The Nutcracker, a Christmas tale by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann that was published in 1881 and choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.

The story, which is set to Tchaikovsky’s music, tells of the adventures of Clara, a little girl who travels through a fantastic world at dusk in the company of the Nutcracker, a soldier puppet who turns into a prince.

Together they face many adventures against the evil Mouse King and his followers.

The charm and joy of Christmas fill the narrative, together with a choreographic piece that celebrates the beauty of fantasy and the joy of life.
