If you come to Lisbon in search of cultural experiences, there's plenty to discover beyond the more traditional tourist attractions. In the heart of the historic centre, just a few steps from the Rua Augusta Arch and Terreiro do Paço, you'll find MUDE - Museu do Design.

MUDE, the Lisbon City Council's cultural centre, is restarting its programme in the building, after the comprehensive refurbishment works, with “O Edifício em Exposição (The Building on Display").

This is a unique opportunity to visit floors -1, 0, 1, 2, 4 and 6 before the building receives the other exhibitions, the cultural activities of the museum's programme and the pieces in its collection, from the beginning of October, and to learn about the transformations throughout its history and the works that have equipped the entire Pombaline quarter with the necessary requirements for the museum to function fully.

From October, get to know MUDE and its permanent programme on the evolution of national and international design through its various expressions (product, fashion, graphic).

This cultural hub of the city exhibits its various national and international design collections on a rotating basis and organises a programme of temporary exhibitions.
