The Kadampa Buddhist Temple in Sintra is a real refuge of peace and a source of inspiration where everyone is welcome. Located in the Sintra mountains, with beautiful views and flower gardens. We also have a café and a shop. Come visit us and consider the option of taking part in guided meditations, Buddhist teachings and even doing a spiritual retreat. The teachings of modern Buddhism present Buddha’s ancient wisdom adapted to the modern way of life, so that we can find peace and meaning in our daily activities. The founder of the Temple and the New Kadampa Tradition is Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, an internationally renowned master of meditation and Buddhism, author of many books that are available in the Temple’s shop.
