The Almada Festival brings to Portugal some of the biggest names from European theatre.
Featuring performances that will be held at Almada Municipal Theatre, the Festival will also be on stage in Lisboa.
In addition to the shows, the Festival promotes conversations with the creators, thematic cycles and exhibitions.
Festival de Almada was founded in 1984 by Joaquim Benite. Ever since it was created, it has presented shows by national and international creators, as well as conferences, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, among many other complementary activities.
It is organized by Companhia de Teatro de Almada and Câmara Municipal de Almada and it takes place every year on July.
