Beth Gibbons, the voice of Portishead, has just announced the ‘Lives Outgrown’ tour with a concert at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on 16 July 2025.
This is her most personal work to date, the result of a period of deep reflection and change - ‘many goodbyes’, in Beth's words. Farewells to family, friends and even to who she used to be.
These are songs from a middle point in life, when looking to the future no longer holds the same promise and looking back takes on a sharper, more melancholic focus.
