Diplomatic Bazaar 2023
An enriching experience! For two days, travel around the world in the Diplomatic Bazaar and buy products and flavors from the five continents. The Diplomatic Bazaar will revert in favor of institutions of social and humanitarian assistance.
On November 3 and 4, the embassies accredited in Portugal and the Association of Families of Portuguese Diplomats (AFDP) will present the 38th edition of the Diplomatic Bazaar. This event, which is already a tradition at this time of year, receives an average of 3,000 visitors over the two days and generates revenue that helps many charities.
For 38 years now, more than 300 institutions in various fields have been helped.
This year, the proceeds will be distributed to institutions that support victims of abuse.
The Diplomatic Bazaar is an opportunity for foreign diplomats posted in Portugal to collaborate effectively with national causes. There are around 40 embassies, the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira and some international organizations that, in collaboration with the AFDP, present their most typical products and prepare dishes with traditional recipes to be sold in the Gourmet Space. It's two days of festivities with various cultural and gastronomic events that allow you to travel around the world and do some very original shopping.
Since its inception, the Diplomatic Bazaar has been highly sponsored by the First Lady and, since 2016, by the President of the Republic himself. It is the result of the voluntary work of all the participants and the contribution of the sponsors. As is tradition, the space is kindly provided by the Lisbon Congress Center in Junqueira and will be open to the public on November 3 and 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission costs 2 euros.
Visiting the Diplomatic Bazaar is truly an enriching experience.
