The guided tour begins at one of the largest hydraulic infrastructures of the 19th century - the Águas Livres Aqueduct - which was built to transport more water to Lisbon. 

The arrival of the flow, from 1746 onwards, allowed for the development of industry, the modernisation of the city and the installation of a greater number of fountains for collective supply. 

The route includes crossing the Campo de Ourique gallery, a visit to the Amoreiras monumental complex, which includes the final reservoir - Mãe d'Água das Amoreiras, the Amoreiras Monumental Arch and the sequence of ten round arches that accompany the Amoreiras Square.

Accessibility: not recommended for people with reduced mobility. Uneven ground, poor visibility, stairs.
Recommendations: The visit is not recommended for people with claustrophobia. It is advisable to wear closed, waterproof and comfortable shoes.
