World Press Photo'24

World Press Photo returns to Oeiras! Parque dos Poetas once again hosts the world's largest photojournalism exhibition

World Press Photo (WPP) - 29 November > 29 December.

Following the success and public turnout of the last three years, the 67th edition of the World Press Photo Exhibition, an initiative promoted by VISÃO magazine and with the support of the Municipality of Oeiras, will open on 29 November.

This photographic exhibition, which tours the world every year, will present the works of 31 photographers (from 24 countries) in 2024, whose work documents some of the most pressing issues facing the world today, from devastating conflicts and political upheavals to the climate crisis and the safe passage of migrants.

Created in 1955 by the non-profit organisation of the same name, the World Press Photo competition aims to promote a greater understanding of current issues, as well as reinforcing the need for press freedom and the importance of photojournalism in the world.

On Saturdays, in parallel with the exhibition, the public will be able to take part in talks about photography with photographers and photojournalists.
