Swan Lake
This is one of the most famous and popular ballets of all time.
Performed in public for the first time at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre on 4th March 1877, “Swan Lake” tells the tale of the impossible love between a prince and a swan girl, highlighting the duality between good and evil, which is represented by the purity of the white swan and the duplicity of the black swan.
The ballet is presented in four acts by the Classic Stage, with music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, libretto by Vladimir Begitchev and choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.
